Notice of 17 12 2025: FTP Account Creation, IP Whitelisting, and Delisting in case of Blocked Access to Your Station on the Servers:
A) Creation of an FTP account and whitelisting of your workstation, necessary steps:
We create an FTP account for managing your files on the server (for uploading/downloading website data):
1. First, access cPanel by logging in: https://www.4host.ch/clienti/login
2. In Files > FTP Accounts > from here create a new FTP account making sure to enter the path: /home/user/public_html
Note: public_html is the folder containing your website files, it is highly recommended to avoid creating an account at the root of your hosting account, for example: /home/user (do this only if you are sure of what you are doing)
3. Once the account is created, visit the following link to whitelist your FTP station:
https://www.4host.ch/clienti/ipupdate.php
4. The procedure is completed and if your IP is changed by your ISP, after one hour, you can re-modify the IP by repeating the procedure.
B) Delisting your IP address (v4 or v6) in case of a block on your station on the 4host.ch servers (symptom: page not reachable)
1. First, access cPanel by logging in: https://www.4host.ch/clienti/login
2. After successfully logging in, visit this page https://www.4host.ch/clienti/ipdelist.php
3. You can only unblock yourself every 15 minutes, and after starting the unblock process, it will take a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes to be unblocked
